The art of versatility

Nothing special today. I got a few shots of a really simple but versatile outfit for late summer/early fall. Add a jacket to it to transition to fall. easy peasy. I got these stunning pants from Forever 21 when I went shopping at the Inner Harbor. I love them! They're the right length, and the drawstring waist is comfortable and chic at the same time. It decorates the pants well without it being uncomfortable. The top is just a simple V-neck, also from my go-to store (F21). I really like how fluid this outfit is, and I definitely am a fan of this wide leg pants trend, so you will see more of it.

I went outside and got inspired by the construction markings on the ground. I threw on my version of a tough meets feminine outfit, went outside, and snapped pictures of me using the environment to my advantage. I got to explore a lot of "props" in my pictures, including rocks and stuff. It was a pretty cool shoot. Gorgeous day, too. I had fun with this.

Polyvore recently 2

The second Polyvore recently is happening today. In case you didn't see the post about my new series, "Polyvore recently" is a new and exciting series on my blog showcasing my love for Polyvore. I'll show a few of my sets, then go on to a few items I've saved on Polyvore that I'm currently lusting over.
About Polyvore, if you visit my page, you'll see that the newest set is about 20 days old. It technically is that old, but it was edited on July 1. It's that dated because I made a bunch of quick and ugly sets to preserve my Style Icon status. Then I went back and edited them. So it's technically that old, but not really.
Now that everything's explained, without further ado...

I experimented with a new color that I don't think I've ever used in any of my sets before. It's really... bright. I don't know about love to describe this color (and I honestly don't know if I'll ever use this color again), but it's definitely different.

 Now for my coveted items...

That's about it, then. Tell your friends to check out my Polyvore account and get inspired too. And don't worry, my page will be fixed soon, back to it's clean, unbroken self. No more ugly sets; it'll just take time.

Fourth and one hundredth

Lucky for me, today is the 4th, the exact day of the holiday. I can wish you a happy fourth today, and not early or late because today is the fourth! This means there will be fireworks celebrating the holiday (on this very day!) that you've got to see.
Today is also a special day because this is officially the one hundredth Fashion teal blog post! It seems like the first was so far away, almost two years ago. I am so excited to be celebrating this amazing day, and thank you all of my lovely readers for supporting me to continue all the way to one hundred. One hundred took some time, but it's so worth it. I can't thank you enough. Today is a very special day. Wow, I've been dishing out so much good news lately.
Today is a special outfit post due to the fourth and the one hundredth, so I'm going to make it count. This outfit is my Fourth of July outfit, extra special because I made the dress and the scarf (neck scarves are huge, so I made sure to capture this trend). Also, since this is a milestone for my blog, the outfit is so so special to me. I picked it very carefully. I decided to do (minimal) blue and white with pops of red because red is the boldest color. So it doesn't overpower the other outfit colors, I made it an accent color. I also got to break out my new wedges in this special (debut) blog post. Not that I haven't worn them tons of times before. I'm lucky that the light colors of the dress can work well with the white of the wedges. It was totally unplanned, but much appreciated.

Happy Fourth, and happy one hundredth! Today, we're celebrating the milestone of a nation and of a fashion blog. 💯  🎆
