Just another one

Hey girls,
Today's just another outfit post. Yes, I did make something. I made the white vest. The lace was left over from a Halloween costume that I made for my cousin. I cut up the side seams in an old pair of her jeans and sewed in lace inserts. I was excited to do this, and I was itching to make something more from the lace. So, here it is! The leftover lace.

Rain lately

Hey girls,
Hope you had a great weekend! It was raining (again) yesterday, so instead of going outside, I made an inside set featuring a cozy outfit to wear inside. I'm so obsessed with these leggings. I purchased them when I shopped at the Inner Harbor. I love them! They're so thick and cozy; I know they'll be my go-to in the winter. They're fleece-lined, which really keeps me warm, even a little too warm.

Everyone makes mistakes

Hey girls,
Today was a bit cold, especially inside of my school. I think the bone-chilling cold had to do with the fact that I was wearing short sleeves today with no kind of sweater or jacket on top. I do admit, I did not dress for the weather, more for myself. That was a mistake; I should start watching the weather to make my outfit choices. At least my boots are keeping my feet warm. Even though I promise myself to watch the weather, I usually end up trusting my gut, my gut that is almost always wrong. I constantly find that nature gets in the way of my clothing choices. Nevertheless, I still want to show you an outfit I've put together in homage to the upcoming summer season and warmer days to come, even though it has been cold, rainy, and dreary in the past week. I hope this stops soon. Hopefully.

I promise, tomorrow I will look at the weather app handily located on my phone to gauge the weather before throwing on whatever I think looks great for the day. Considering I'm in uniform for a chunk of the day doesn't really bring style into account -angrily sigh-, but how I style the uniform will be major, and I will try to glance at weather to do this. Although I honor the principle "style over comfort" more than "comfort over style" (yeah I know, I'll explain this in a later post I guess), I'll try to incorporate some comfort with style. Who knows, a trend I might grow to love could come from comfort being important in my outfit.

New series

Hey girls,
Today, I am excited to announce a new series on my blog! If you are a regular reader, you'll know that I have a couple series on my blog currently, like Top ___ (insert number here, usually 5) Faves or Shoe Crush. I also dabble a bit in different ways to style the same garment, but I don really do that often. Anway, back to the new series.
I am introducing a series called "Polyvore Recently." I'm calling it this because I'm going to be posting on this blog what's been going on on my Polyvore account in the past few weeks. I love Polyvore so very much, so I want to share what's happening on my account with you. I'll share some sets that I have created, and then I will share some of my favorite things that I've liked on Polyvore. Enjoy!

"Bouncing off the walls"

"Proud family" - Graduation set

"You got it from that"

"Last one there is a square"

"Go play"

"New and exciting"

This is the type of thing I'll be doing for the new Polyvore Recently series. I'm excited to try something new like this, especially because this has to do with Polyvore. I love to use Polyvore! If you don't have an account, you should get one. I recommend it.

Tough meets feminine

Hey girls,
I decided to pair a clean-cut shirtdress (that I made) with a distressed pair of boat shoes. I really like how the two attitudes of tough and smooth come together and really connect. When I look at this outfit, I see pretty and sweet and then my eyes travel down to the feet, where a vision of distressed surrounds the feet. For once, I think the highlighter piece is my feet. Not expected, because I'm a clothes kind of girl, but the unexpectedness of the shoe makes it weird yet amazing to look at. I'm reminded of a nautical, boating kind of person when I look at this outfit.
