Sleek Black Jumpsuit

Hey girls,
Today is all about jumpsuits. I made a jumpsuit a long time ago, and I saw this tote that would really be an accent in the outfit. I also got a new pair of shoes that would look great with this outfit. Immediately, I was dying to share this outfit with you all. I really liked the simple quality of this jumpsuit. It is such versatile piece, and I will probably be showing you some more outfits with this jumpsuit in it, because it is such an easy piece to style. I especially love the wide leg of this jumpsuit because I am just totally into wide leg pants lately.

Jumpsuit: handmade
Tote: Target
Wearing Sinful Colors Rise and Shine #940

This outfit is an example of a way this jumpsuit can be styled. Also, this is an example of sleek one-pieces that can be incorporated into outfits with totes. I love tote bags! And, this is how I would style wide leg pants, which are very in this season. That, and florals. I do like florals.

The End of NYFW 2015

Hey girls,
I have some bad new that every fashionista in the USA is saddened about: New York Fashion Week drew to a close on September 17, 2015. Now, I am among the rest who are sad about this news, but I am also a bit happy because I have found some awesome sites like Now Fashion and New York Fashion Week Live (an even a cool YouTube channel) that shows all of the fashion shows that I missed! Needless to say, I will be watching hours of fashion shows. But I would like to share with you some of the fashion shows that I did watch, and loved!

1. Rebecca Minkoff

I was totally in awe with this collection because one, the clothes were so well constructed, two, the shoes (oh, the shoes!), and three, the clothes were so my style. From the bold cuts, to the high-end styles, to the flowy material, I loved each and every look that came down the runway. And the band that played during the show? Juh-eeen-yuss. This collection comes out in 2016, and I absolutely can't wait for its arrival to the public.

2. Givenchy
Givenchy is another show that I really liked, the lingerie-inspired fashion was very elegant and high couture. I loved how within the lingerie category, there were many different styles of clothing, whether it was a nightgown-looking garment, or a silk dress. I really loved the pinstriped pantsuit and the jewel-adorned faces in the show. It was an all around elegant show. When this collection comes out, I will be the first one there to drool over all the clothes!

Totally in love with this collection, and how classic and simple it is. The looks were mostly structured fabrics played up in different styles. I liked the various ways that black, white, and gray could be styled. It was only three colors, but it looked like so many more! I also really admired the versatility of the clothing. The DKNY show was off the charts! This collection cannot come soon enough.

4. Tommy Hilfiger
The beachy theme for Tommy Hilfiger was spectacular, and the garments combined with the swimwear was such an amazing idea. Tommy, you did well. You did very well. The models walked with elegance, the music was a perfect fit for the show, and Gigi Hadid was absolutely amazing in this show. Hats off to you, Gigi. The clothes were Caribbean style, which I really loved. I seriously can't wait for this collection!

5. Ralph Lauren

This was such an amazing show! I loved it because of the nautical-themed fashion, with various shades of red, white, and blue. I saw a lot of blue and white striped dresses, which signaled to me that it was more of a nautical theme. There was also hints of leather as well. There was some light rust colored leather jackets involved, all of which I loved. The whole show was so nautical inspired, down to the incredible shoes! This collection totally wowed me!

So, these were some of the shows that I really loved watching. All of the clothes were fresh and inspired, and these collections will be perfection in their own when they come out in 2016. I also really loved other collections, such as the ones from 3.1 Phillip Lim, Michael Kors, BCBG Max Azria, Nicole Miller, Diane von Furstenburg, Kate Spade New York, and Greg Lauren. Of course, I still have some more to watch, and when I do, I will probably be the happiest girl on the planet. Can anyone say "fashion?"

NYFW 2015!

Hey girls,
Today is a very special post, because today marks day one of New York Fashion Week 2015! For anyone who doesn't know, New York Fashion Week is a series of fashion shows and fashion events in which new collections are presented to the public. It usually lasts from 7-9 days, and from today to September 17, I will be completely immersed in fashion, and so will many other people. I can't even tell you how amazing NYFW is, and some day I hope to go see some fashion shows, or even have a collection I made in the show! I love NYFW because it's a chance for us to see new collections from our favorite brands, such as Oscar de la Renta and Dolce and Gabbana, and see new fashion designers, such as Sandy Liang and Brother Vellies. Don't know who they are? That's because they are new designers. I love new collections from new designers because new ideas, and new clothes are discovered. I always love seeing what people come up with. That's the power of fashion.
So, I would like to tell you about some designers that I'm really excited to see at NYFW. Some are old, some are new. Each one of them is totally creative, and I absolutely can't wait to see their collections on the runway!

1. Trina Turk
One of the major reasons why I am so excited to see Trina Turk's collection hit the runway is because of her style. It's bright and it's sunny and it's so springy. I can't wait to see what amazing surprises this brand has in store. I am especially excited to see her new shoes. I love the shoes from Trina Turk, partly because of the practical, yet fashionable styles she features.

2. BCBG Max Azria
I really like this brand, and for a number of reasons. One, the style is so gorgeous, that it's hard to go wrong. Two, BCBG Max Azria is not horribly expensive for a designer brand, which is pretty good for their business. Three, their clothes are modern, meaning you can totally tone one garment down, but playing it up makes it work as well. I am sitting forward in my seat, waiting to see what stylish garments they have dreamed up for the public.

3. Brother Vellies
Just looking at these shoes in this picture a few weeks ago made me instantly drool over their collection, and I haven't even seen their collection yet! The footwear is totally modern, and their story is totally unique. I can tell this brand is totally going to blow up during and after NYFW.

4. Halston Heritage
Classic, classic, classic. That's Halston Heritage. Classic and contemporary. Also, ideal work wear, and a great brand for the fashion show. The clothes are straight perfection. They are constructed so well, and the styles are totally unique. Halston Heritage adds their own twist to usually ordinary clothes, like the pants on the left.

These are some brands that are really going to excite me during NYFW, and there are so so SO many more to look for! Now, if you will excuse me, I have some live fashion shows to watch!

Floral Peplum+Gold Sandals

Hey girls,
Another outfit today! Today I wanted to show you a super cute outfit that I put together that features mostly toned down colors.
Now, I do like a bold red or a royal blue once in a while, but sometimes I tend to lean toward colors like tan or white or other muted colors. I feel like sometimes simple is great, especially when it comes to colors. I'm not being biased toward muted colors, because I really like bold colors (especially teal and burnt sienna). But sometimes, it's totally fine to break out the beige and brown hues. The shorts are what I'm mostly talking about, because they are a light tan color. I also included gold sandals, which in a way, I think is more of a toned down color because even with the shimmer of the gold (which most people would think it is bold), it has more of a natural vibe that I love to include in a muted-color outfit. I think the shimmer also brings a little pop of color to the otherwise "boring" color scheme in the outfit, which is always good.

Shorts: Forever 21
Sandals: TJMaxx

This outfit is an example of what I mean by neutral colors looking as chic as bold colors. Both neutral and bold work in different ways, but each can create an amazing outfit.
